recording breaking fear

I don’t think Robert mentioned this on his blog, so I’ll relay the event here. It was fairly early and we were still in bed. In fact, it was a weekend morning and we were taking a mellow advantage of a lull in the schedule, i.e. we had no intentions of getting up any time soon.
We could hear sounds of little people – very awake and happy little people. Robert and I were enjoying the relative (notice I said relative) peace and quiet. We were just lying there having a nice leisurely conversation when suddenly we hear a loud f-l-u-s-h from the kids’ bathroom followed immediately by Anna’s loud exuberant and victorious exclamation, “IT’S---A---NEW---WORLD’S---RECORD!!!!!!!!”
I looked at Robert and I’m pretty sure the fear I saw in his eyes was a reflection of the fear in mine. I said, “I just don’t want to know, do you?” “No, I’m pretty sure I’m better off not knowing,” he replied as we pulled the covers over our heads in a feeble attempt to hide from our nemesis.
To this day we do not know what the world’s record was for and believe me, we ain’t gonna ask.
